Reiki sessions: Reiki, meaning cosmic or universal life force, is an ancient method of healing and meditation that has been used by the Japanese for several centuries. There is no belief system attached to Reiki so anyone can receive a Reiki treatment. The only prerequisite is the desire to be healed, and for physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being.  A typical session consists of the recipient lying on a massage table fully clothed while Troy gently puts his hands on his/her body or holds them just above. The Reiki energy is transferred to him/her through his hands. Reiki flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself. It is possible to heal at any level of being: physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. Troy is a Reiki Master and has specialized in Japanese, Tibetan and Seichum Reiki. He has worked on over 1800 people since 1998.

Lifestyle/nutrition coaching: Troy’s motto is: Two things make you what you are: your right hand and your left hand and what you put into them. Using his knowledge from the medical field, Troy will share a wealth of information with you about how to change your lifestyle so you can reach your goals. Food, rest and exercise go hand-in-hand.

Yoga Class Descriptions

Chair Yoga: While extremely popular in the US, chair yoga has yet to reach mainstream in Australia. In chair yoga, the main prop used is a chair. This type of yoga class helps people who have difficulty getting up off or down on the floor. In chair yoga, the yoga poses are modified for the chair. An ideal class for people with physical disabilities or seniors (55+) wanting to regain or keep up their strength and flexibility.

Gentle Yoga: Specifically intended for people who want to begin their day in a grounded, mindful manner. These easy yoga classes focus on gentle stretching, balance, co-ordination and inner calm, rather than physically demanding class. All classes include breathing techniques and relaxation

General Yoga:
A whole body experience beginning with sun salutations and standing poses, moving into seated poses, twists and arm balances, backbends and finally inversions.
These classes suit beginners and more advanced students, as poses can be modified to suit each participants level of experience.

Intermediate Yoga: Suitable for experienced and serious practitioners only (no beginners please!). This intermediate yoga class explores more challenging variations as well as holding poses for longer. Headstand and shoulderstand variations, arm balances and more!

Partner Yoga: First Sunday of every month. Bring a partner for free. Partner yoga is yoga practice with a partner. This person can be a friend, a fellow yoga student or a significant other in your life. Partner yoga can help to deepen your relationship with this person. During a partner yoga class asanas are performed that involve both people doing the same pose at the same time, or one partner supporting the other in their pose. Partner yoga promotes fun, laughter and creativity as well as relaxation, concentration and balance. It can be very rewarding to share your yoga experience with another person, particularly if that person is your partner in life as well as yoga.

Restorative Yoga: A gentle practice that will immediately relax the nervous system and leave you feeling uplifted and relaxed.  In this restorative yoga class, you will use props, hold poses for longer, relaxing into a pose in order to release parts of the body that hold emotional and physical tension. Good for those recovering from injury, or for those wanting a gentle practice.

Meditation: For experienced meditators (minimal guidance offered). We offer the space to practice what the asanas were originally designed for: preparing the body to sit quietly for meditation. Tacked on to a yoga class you experience the quietness and calmness of the mind you’ve achieved through your yoga practice. Any form of meditation welcome as long as it does not disrupt the practice of other meditators.
