Our Body Sculpt class is a strength training workout that combines flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning using a combination of yoga, Pilates (incl. Swissball), fitballs and compound & isolation exercises using light weights (dumbbells). Body Sculpt is designed to work the entire body, improve overall muscle tone, increase muscular endurance and build strength & power. Additionally, your balance will improve and your flexibility will increase. Exercises are done at a very high intensity for a short period of time before moving onto the next exercise. Body Sculpt is highly recommended to those enrolled in a weight loss program because it helps retain lean muscle tissue while boosting metabolism. Strong, toned muscles increase your metabolism and burn calories far more than cardio-only workouts, walking or stair climbing. And although these activities are valuable for strengthening the heart and lungs, they are minimum contributors to weight control. With our Body Sculpt class, you receive a cardiovascular and fat-burning workout. You'll be encouraged to work at your own pace and honor your body and its limitations. Any fitness level can enroll.
